The California Digital Library: Past, Present, and Future

The California Digital Library: Past, Present, and Future was held on June 27, 2000 at the UCLA Faculty Center. Laine Farley, Director of Digital Library Services which designed the CDL Web site, spoke about the formation and organization of the CDL at this dinner meeting. She discussed current and future projects, and what the CDL means to non-University of California constituencies.

An Afternoon of Library and Information Science Career Networking was held on May 7, 2000 at Cal State Fullerton. The program began with a panel of recent graduates working in the field of library and information science. They answered questions, and shared their experiences. A panel of library and information science professionals provided insights on how best to convey strengths to employers. Following the two panels, participants had an opportunity to network and visited tables sponsored by potential employers and professional organizations.
